Gandhi Jayanti 2018: Top 5 Movements For Independence By The Father-Of-The Nation
Every year on October 2, every year that is dedicated to the name of Mahatma who has always taught the country to follow the path of non-violence. On October 2, 1869, the birth of Mahatma Gandhi was born. Since his death in 1948, every year on October 2, it is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti.

Mahatma Gandhi has taught the whole world that no fight can be fought without violence. Mahatma Gandhi was a major political and spiritual leader of the Indian independence movement. Mahatma Gandhi always used to say that if one slaps one slap, he should give it another cheek. Because the person in front of your humility will surely melt on one or the other day. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, today we tell you about some of the important agitations launched by him.
1. Champaran and Kheda Satyagraha:
Many programs were run under the leadership of Gandhi Ji under the Satyagraha movement. Among them are the Champaran Satyagraha, Bardoli Satyagrahaa and Kheda Satyagraha. All these movements reflect Mahatma Gandhi's contribution towards India's independence. Gandhiji had said that this is a movement that is completely upright and violence has no place in it.
On April 15, 1917, a man named Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, with an anonymous man like Rajkumar Shukla, reached Champaran, Motihari. They were appointed at the house of Babu Gorakh Prasad. Champaran is located in the north-west of Bihar where the foundation of Satyagraha was laid. In the name of indigenous cultivation, the Satyagraha movement was run in 1917 under the leadership of Gandhi, against the exploitation of farmers by the British rule. It is a privilege to have the Champaran district in Bihar that after returning from South Africa, Mahatma Gandhi started the Satyagraha movement from here. Gandhiji also got success in the Champaran Satyagraha.
Kheda Satyagraha
Kheda Satyagraha was a Satyagraha (movement) against the tax administration of the British government in Kheda district of Gujarat. It was led by Vallabh Bhai Patel and other leaders with the inspiration of Mahatma Gandhi. As a result of this satyagraha, there was a new sharpness and enthusiasm in the life of Gujarat and a confidence level of space. Although this satyagraha was simple but its significance in the history of Indian consciousness is not less than the satyagraha of Champaran.
2. Civil Disobedience Movement
Talking about this movement, it was one of those agitations which were launched against the British Empire. This movement was launched by the Indian National Congress. 1929 AD Until India began to know Britain's intentions, then India was suspicious whether or not it will implement its declaration of providing colonial independence. It was announced that its aim at the Lahore session was to achieve total independence for India. Under this movement, salt was made by itself in violation of the salt law.
3. Quit India Movement
Quit India Movement started on 9th August 1942, on the call of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, throughout India. The two stops are most important in the history related to India's independence - the first 'freedom struggle of 1857' and the second 'Quit India Movement of 1942'. It was a big 'civil disobedience movement' against Mahatma Gandhi's British rule to get the freedom to India soon. After the failure of 'Cripps Mission', Gandhi decided to start another big movement. This movement was given the name of 'Quit India Movement'.
4. Dandi March
Dandi March means that on foot travel, which was started by Mahatma Gandhi and his own volunteers on March 12, 1930. Its main purpose was to break the 'salt law' made by the British. Gandhiji had 358 km from Sabarmati Ashram with 78 volunteers, including Web Miller. Departed for a dandy located away. Nearly 24 days later, on 6th April 1930, when he reached Dandi, he broke the salt law on the beach. Mahatma Gandhi made Navsari his last stop during the last days of the journey after Surat, Dindori, Wanj, Daman during Dandi Yatra. From here the journey of Kadari and Dandi was completed. The land of the Dandi is about 13 miles from Navsari.
5. Khilafat movement
The Khilafat movement (1919-1924) was a political-religious movement mainly run by Muslims in India. The purpose of this movement was to put pressure on the British to re-establish the post of Khalifa in Turkey.
