WWE Superstars were in town and Delhi did not disappoint. Thousands from every group and age thronged the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium to the WWE Live show on Saturday.
The India tour was slated to be a two-day affair but the original plan was scrapped to make way for a 'Supershow' only on December 9th.
The match card was changed quite a few times, the molding itself to the storyline is currently on the WWE network.
Jinder Mahal, India's champion, had lost the WWE Championship just prior to the Survivor Series pay-per-view, in a home show in the United Kingdom. Triple H had to step in the replacement Kevin Owens to headline the show.
But that did not deter the Delhi crowd to 'pop' at every superstar's entrance and timely at every 'power spot'.
Chants of "Balor Club" went around as the first match started with Finn Balor making his entry to face Bray Wyatt. The former leader of the 'Wyatt Family' also was greeted with much aplomb. Torches were lit as the stadium descended into dark for his entry

The Jeet Rama and Kishan Rafter match against The Miztourage were interrupted by chants of CM Punk, a wrestler who is no longer with the company. The only Indians were the clear favorites among the seats as they proceeded to 'boo' the foreign wrestlers off the ring after Jeet Rama and Kishan Rafter won the match.
The only female match on the card, Sasha Banks versus Alexa Bliss found the fans in the audience cheering their every move as the two went through their paces.
Elias came on with his usual gimmick of songs targeted against the crowd, belittling India being his choice for the show.
The crowd hurled abuses and the rained down on Jason Jordan made his entry too much fanfare.
Next up is Bollywood's own self-confessed WWE fan, Varun Dhawan who is thrilled with Daniel Bryan's famous 'Yes!' chants and Stone Cold's 'Hell Yeah'
The loudest cheer on the night was reserved for The Shield, as chants of 'This is awesome' went around.
Their opponents Samoa Joe, Sheamus and Cesaro were well received but it was nothing like the Shield. The crowd had their minds made up, they cheered for Roman Reigns throughout the match.
Enzo Amore had been cut off.
The cruiserweight champion started by asking the crowd 'How are you doing?' The crowd responded with cheers, but Enzo said 'you're supposed to say bad'. When asked why he mocked the crowd saying 'because you are in India.'
This enraged the crowd to no end as abuse after abuse of the superstar. Their payback came when Enzo's wig came off during the match as Kallisto has done it and he is doing Enzo's trademark jig.
WWE's in-house monsters, Kane and Braun Strowman unleashed mayhem on each other, as the crowd inside the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium were treated to some tables bad chair action, with a bit of stair thrown in for good measure.
Now for the main event, it was Triple H up against the Modern Day Maharaja, Jinder Mahal.
Jinder Mahal was surprised at the response and emotion that the crowd received from the crowd
After a well-done match that went on a little over half an hour, Jinder Mahal was defeated by Triple H. Triple H named Jinder and praised him, saying 'India is in good hands with The Modern Day Maharaja'.
The WWE Live Show in Delhi was a lot The show came in the city's best to cheer and enjoyed celebrating the suspension of disbelief.
